An elegant antique French style candlestick combining gilt metal mounts with richly contrasting black stone, likely marble or similar decorative stone.

Designed in the refined Louis XVI revival taste, the piece features neoclassical floral roundels, draped garland ornament and a beautifully proportioned urn-form candle socket above a tapering central column.

The dramatic contrast of warm gilding against deep black stone gives this candlestick a striking architectural presence, ideal for mantel, console or library display.
