A rare set of four French faience plates, attributed to the Sinceny manufactory, 18th century. Each plate is hand-painted with a polychrome bird perched among flowering branches, with additional floral sprays around the rim and a delicate scalloped edge.
The decoration is executed in a lively palette of blue, green, yellow, orange and manganese tones. The reverse of each plate bears a blue “S.” mark, consistent with Sinceny attribution, though the attribution should be considered based on the visible mark and stylistic comparison rather than a documented provenance.
Sinceny faience was produced in northern France from the 18th century and is known for its colourful floral and bird decoration. This set has strong decorative presence and works well as a wall display or collector’s group of French regional faience.
