Lebrillo, Large Spanish Fajalauza Bowl, Hand Painted Floral Motif, Green & White Terracotta, 17.1in

€890

Large handmade Spanish Lebrillo bowl in traditional Andalusian style, featuring a white tin-glazed interior with hand-painted green decoration.

The central floral motif is elegant and vertically structured, surrounded by a richly decorated border composed of multiple layered wavy bands and expressive radial elements. The density of the ornament gives this piece a more dynamic and decorative appearance.

The bowl is wheel-thrown, with clearly visible concentric lines inside and on the base, and an unglazed terracotta exterior, highlighting its authentic handcrafted production.

Granada ceramics, commonly referred to as Fajalauza pottery, are rooted in centuries-old Andalusian and Moorish traditions. Pieces like this are valued for their bold brushwork and strong regional character.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
