Lebrillo, Large Spanish Fajalauza Bowl, Hand Painted Floral Motif, Green & White Terracotta, 15.4in

€590

Large handmade Spanish Lebrillo bowl in traditional Andalusian style, featuring a white tin-glazed interior with hand-painted green decoration.

The central floral motif is painted with more pronounced and confident brushstrokes, giving the composition a stronger visual presence. It is surrounded by a dense decorative border of wavy lines and expressive radial elements, characteristic of traditional Granada pottery associated with the Fajalauza ceramic tradition.

The bowl is wheel-thrown, with visible concentric lines inside and an unglazed terracotta exterior, emphasizing its handcrafted authenticity.

Granadine ceramics are rooted in long-standing Andalusian and Moorish traditions and remain highly appreciated for their bold decoration and regional character.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
