Late 19th Century French Cut Crystal Vase with Engraved Bird Medallions, 30 cm

€550

Exceptional antique crystal vase dating to the late 19th – early 20th century, crafted in the tradition of high-end French crystal manufacture.

The vase features a tall fluted body with deep vertical cuts and two finely engraved oval medallions. One depicts an owl, the other a mythical bird (phoenix / firebird), both surrounded by delicate floral ornamentation. The engraving is executed with remarkable precision and depth, typical of luxury French glass workshops.

The thick crystal body, perfectly balanced proportions and star-cut base reflect craftsmanship of the highest level, comparable to Baccarat or Saint-Louis production of the period.

A truly decorative collector’s piece suitable for an elegant interior or serious crystal collection.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
