Large 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose Bowl, Canton Porcelain, Qing Dynasty, 11.8 in

€2.400

Impressive 19th century Chinese porcelain bowl, finely hand-painted in the Famille Rose palette and decorated with elaborate figural scenes.

The bowl features multiple narrative panels depicting elegant court figures in architectural interiors, surrounded by richly detailed floral borders and symbolic motifs. The painting is executed with great precision and vibrant colors typical of high-quality Canton export porcelain of the Qing dynasty.

The piece is presented on a later carved wooden stand (included), which enhances display but is not original to the bowl.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
