Hand-Painted Porcelain Cabinet Plate with Bird, Pink & Gold Rococo Decor, 8.5in

€120

Beautiful antique porcelain cabinet plate featuring a hand-painted bird perched on a flowering branch.

The plate is decorated with a rich pink ground border enhanced with elegant gilt rococo scrollwork. Three cartouches contain delicate floral bouquets, while the central bird scene is finely hand-painted in vibrant enamel colours.

This decorative style was popular in European porcelain workshops at the beginning of the 20th century and was often produced as cabinet plates intended for display.

The combination of hand painting and gilded decoration gives the piece a refined and elegant appearance.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
