Exceptional and very rare French table lamp, first half of the 20th century, crafted in heavy gilt metal and designed in the form of a majestic eagle standing on its powerful talons. Lamps with an eagle motif are especially prized by American collectors due to their symbolism of strength, leadership, and heritage.
This piece stands out with its sculptural quality: a long, elegant bird neck, a stylized beak holding the suspension for the shade, finely textured plumage along the leg, and an impressive claw-shaped base.
