Antique English tea cup and saucer by F. Winkle & Co, produced in 1908 in the renowned Pheasant pattern, White Cone Ware line.
The decoration features a vividly painted pheasant perched on a flowering branch, surrounded by stylised peonies and foliage. The border is finished with a geometric frieze and gilded rim, reflecting the strong Oriental influence popular in Edwardian decorative ceramics.
The glaze shows characteristic fine crazing typical of Whieldon Ware, adding authentic antique charm without affecting structural integrity.
A fine example of early 20th-century Staffordshire decorative ware.
