c.1935–1948 European Cut Crystal Decanter with Silver Collar and Faceted Stopper

€300

Beautiful early 20th-century European crystal decanter with a solid silver collar, crafted around 1935–1948.

This piece features deep step-cut vertical facets, a heavy square body and a brilliant-cut spherical stopper typical of Central European glassmaking of the 1930s and 1940s.

The silver collar bears a star hallmark, commonly used by German and Austrian silversmiths during the pre-war and wartime period.

The crystal remains exceptionally clear and bright, while the silver shows a few small dents consistent with age.

A rare and elegant example of early European barware.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
