c.1930s Rare European Cut Crystal Decanter with Silver Collar and Faceted Stopper

€350

Rare early–mid 20th-century European cut crystal decanter with a solid silver collar, crafted between the 1930s and 1950s.

This impressive piece features a sculptural geometric body with deep hand-cut starburst and triangular facets, and a striking multi-faceted stopper typical of Central European craftsmanship of the period.

The silver collar is stamped with a star and the number 810, a hallmark commonly used by mid-century German and Austrian silversmiths.

The decanter is heavy, brilliantly clear and beautifully proportioned — a refined example of pre- and post-war European crystal design.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
