c.1920–1960 French Louis XVI Revival Gilt Bronze Two-Light Wall Sconce

€390

Elegant mid-20th-century French Louis XVI Revival gilt bronze wall sconce featuring a tall torch-shaped body with flame finial, fluted shaft, and two beautifully cast scrolling arms with floral rosettes and classical ornamentation. This large and decorative piece reflects the refined neoclassical revival style popular in France from the 1920s through the 1960s.

The sconce retains later vintage sockets and wiring, which must be replaced or professionally inspected before use, as they do not meet modern electrical standards.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
