c.1890–1910 Bohemian Amber Overlay Engraved Glass Vase, 9in

€220

Fine late-19th to early-20th-century Bohemian engraved vase made in amber overlay glass. The upper part features a warm golden-yellow cased layer, deeply engraved with floral motifs, leaves and blossoms in a matte finish. The lower section transitions to clear vertically faceted glass, resting on a matching amber foot with radiating cuts.

This type of colour-overlay engraving was characteristic of the best Bohemian workshops around 1890–1910 (Haida/Nový Bor, Harrach, Meyr’s Neffe), combining exceptional craftsmanship with elegant Art Nouveau floral themes.

A refined decorative object with beautiful light play, perfect for collectors of antique European engraved glass.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
