Antique 19th Century Brass Jardinière with Rare Hoof Feet – Heavy Cast Brass Planter

€290

Beautiful and unusual 19th-century brass jardinière, crafted from heavy cast brass with an elegant flared body, decorative ring handles, and rare hoof-shaped feet. Unlike common Victorian planters with lion paws, this model features sculpted hoof feet — a detail found only in higher-quality French and English workshop pieces of the mid-1800s.

The brass composition shows a warm rosé tone in areas of age-related oxidation, typical of early high-copper alloys. Its weight and thickness confirm excellent craftsmanship.

A wonderful decorative accent for fireplaces, entry halls, indoor plants, floral arrangements, or as an eye-catching statement piece in classic or eclectic interiors.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
