19th Century Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Plate Hand Painted Figures Floral Decor 8.7"

€270

A 19th century Chinese porcelain plate decorated in the traditional famille rose palette.

The surface is finely hand-painted with a combination of figural scenes and floral compositions arranged in ornate cartouches. Two narrative panels depict figures in garden settings, while the remaining reserves are filled with richly detailed flowers and birds. The central medallion features a bird among foliage, enclosed within a gilt border.

The decoration is executed in soft enamel tones typical of famille rose porcelain, enhanced with delicate gilding that highlights the ornamental structure of the design.

This type of porcelain was produced for both domestic use and export, reflecting the refined decorative traditions of Qing dynasty ceramics.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
