Fine and large Empire candlestick with expressive floral decoration, made in France around 1890: on round base with unusually large, surrounding floral garland fluted conical shaft with palm leaf base. As a top finish an acanthus leaf wreath, on which sits the vase-shaped candle spout with abstract classicist leaf relief.
