Gorgeous Lebrillo from Fajalauza earthenware artisans in Granada. The usual decoration of Fajalauza is blue or green agricultural motifs on white background. In this case we have the sunflower at the center and traditional decor at the border.

Fajalauza pottery is from Granada, Spain and originated during the 13-15th centuries when the Nasrid Muslim dynasty ruled the Iberian Peninsula. It is named for the gate of Fajalauza that led to the El Albaicin neighborhood in Granada where the Islamic potters lived during the 16th century.
