1950s Dresden Lace Porcelain Figurine, German Rococo Couple, Hand-Painted, Lace Dress, 5.5in

€225

Charming mid-century Dresden lace porcelain figurine, crafted in Germany in the 1950s.

A beautifully detailed Rococo couple is shown on an elegant sofa, featuring hand-painted floral motifs, rich gilding, and the classic Dresden lace technique – real lace dipped in porcelain slip and fired to create delicate textile-like ruffles.

This piece displays all hallmarks of mid-century Dresden workshops: expressive faces, fine pastel palette, sculpted flowers, shimmering gold accents, and extremely fragile lace detailing.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
