18th Century Bohemian Engraved Wine Glass, Hand Blown Antique, 6.5in

€850

uthentic 18th-century Bohemian engraved wine glass, hand-blown and decorated with finely executed wheel-engraved foliate bands and botanical motifs.

The flared conical bowl is adorned with repeating garlands and stylized leaves, a decorative vocabulary characteristic of Bohemian glass production of the period.

The baluster stem with a knop and the wide flat foot reflect classical Central European glassmaking traditions of the 18th century. The clear glass shows natural irregularities and subtle imperfections consistent with early hand-crafted production.

An excellent collector’s example of genuine Bohemian engraved glass, comparable to documented auction pieces by Christie’s.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
