Sèvres style porcelain vase

An exquisite French porcelain vase, richly decorated in cobalt blue with lavish gilt detailing and bronze mounts. The central panels depict a romantic courting scene and a picturesque landscape, all hand-painted with remarkable finesse and signed E. Froger. The vase features heavy gilded embellishments and ornate bronze handles, emblematic of the Sèvres-style but marked simply “France” at the base, suggesting late 19th to early 20th-century production for export.

Though not marked with an official Sèvres mark, the quality of painting, the gold detailing, and the fine craftsmanship indicate a high-end Parisian or Limoges manufactory inspired by Sèvres tradition. A notable artist signature, E. Froger, can be seen on the painted scene — Froger was an accomplished decorator active in the late 19th century, often associated with luxury porcelain panels and decorative vessels.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
