19th Century Spanish Fajalauza Blue and White Ceramic Bowl, Granada, 11in

€480

Traditional Spanish ceramic bowl attributed to the Fajalauza tradition of Granada, hand-painted in cobalt blue on a light earthenware ground.

The interior features a bold floral motif with a central rosette and radiating leaves, framed by a softly washed blue border. The spontaneous brushwork, uneven glaze flow, and subtle irregularities reflect the authentic folk character of Andalusian pottery.

Such bowls were widely used in southern Spain for both practical and decorative purposes and are now appreciated for their strong graphic presence and historical character.

Professional packaging guaranteed.

Chosen for today, grounded in history.

A well-placed antique does more than decorate a room - it gives it authorship. Against a contemporary interior, older objects introduce texture, balance and a sense of permanence that cannot be replicated by newly made pieces alone.
This is the principle behind the LÜRON selection. We look for works that carry historical character with ease, and that feel as convincing in a Paris apartment as they do in a more modern architectural setting.
