18th, Rare Persian Glazed Stoneware Vase

Near East, Persia, Islamic, Safavid to Qajar Dynasty. A pretty stoneware vessel with a raised rim, a short, sloped shoulder, and swollen walls that narrow to a ring-form foot. All enveloped in white glaze, the exterior of the vase presents blue-on-white decoration of elaborate floral, geometric, and arabesque motifs.

• Date: 18th Century
• Dimensions: Height: 25cm / 10in; Diameter: 20 cm / 7.8in
• Condition: Chipping to shoulder, rim, and foot and a few stable hair line fissures. Some nicks and abrasion in areas, commensurate with age, but otherwise intact and excellent. Good craquelure to glaze and encrustations in areas.
